Zing integrates LAANC into their Zing Pilot drone delivery application to open up over 75,000 square miles of airspace within 5 miles of major airports.
Before LAANC (Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability), pilots had to wait up to 90 days to fly within 5 miles of an airport. Now UAS Service Suppliers such as AirMap have the ability to grant nearly instantaneous authorizations to pilots who fly beneath safe altitudes specified by the FAA. At Tampa International Airport for example, you can now fly less than 2 miles away from the airport if your flight remains under 100 feet after receiving a LAANC authorization.
